Villacher René Puglnig: Dream of Dancing Stars becomes reality
In the new format "Dancing Stars -The Casting" of ORF, ten amateur dancers take on the challenge of competing with professional dancers. They are fighting for the opportunity to dance in the upcoming season of the popular dance show "Dancing Stars". Among these amateurs is also René Puglnig from Villach, who has the honor of gaining experience as a "practice promi" and challenging the professionals.
Puglnig, who is also the owner of the "NDFIT dance studio", was able to prevail against over 800 other applicants at the casting in the Vienna Marxhalle. This fulfills him with great pleasure because he is a long -time fan of the show. "I have a look at 'Dancing Stars' since season. Despite his experience in Rock’n’Roll and Boogie Woogie, he realizes that the standard and Latin dances are new territory.
René's goal and experience in dance
For Puglnig, participation in the show is a personal goal. He has achieved a lot in the dance area in the past, starting with the rock’n’roll dance, which he learned at the age of seven. In the B-Class, he managed to take ninth place at the World Cup in Helsinki together with his then partner Nicole Schojer. In addition, René brings fresh television experience after he could be seen "simply dancing" for over a year on the ORF Carinthia show.
The decision to pass on his knowledge and passion for dance has motivated Puglnig to complete an apprenticeship as a dance teacher. He wants to inspire even more people for dance. The Villacher is already in the starting blocks to demonstrate his skills on the floor and hopes that the jury will recognize its potential.
This chance of the big stage is not only a professional step for Puglnig, but also a fulfillment of his childhood dreams - once in the spotlight and work with professional dancers. The outcome of this exciting journey is eagerly awaited, not only from it, but also by his fans and supporters.
