Shock in the ski area: 17-year-old seriously injured after falling!

In the Nassfeld ski area, a serious skiing accident occurred on March 7, 2025, around 1:45 p.m. A 17-year-old Belgian skier lost control of his skis, for previously unexplained cause, and fell to an paved area from a height of about 7.5 meters over a safety net. Emergency services immediately initiated first aid on site and the victorious teenager was brought to the LKH Villach with the ARA 3 rescue helicopter. The boy's state of health so far remains unclear how the Gailtal Journal reported.

A few months earlier, on December 3, a similar incident occurred on the Tiefenbach Glacier, where a 51-year-old German and a 21-year-old drove down the valley independently. Unknown circumstances led to a side collision, with both bouncing off a fishing net. The 51-year-old suffered serious hand injuries and had to be taken to Zams after the first aid by the slopes rescue to the hospital, while the 21-year-old was not injured.
