Thogging: Villach's master plan for safe footpaths on December 2

In Villach, a new concept for pedestrians is currently being worked intensively, which is called the "Master Plan in Villach". The aim of this project, which is under the direction of mobility officer City Councilor Sascha Jabali Adeh, is to improve the infrastructure for pedestrians and thus increase the proportion of too-foot traffic in the city. "A complete network of paths with short and detour -free connections is required to facilitate the daily ways," explains Jabali Adeh.

The initiators of the plan focus in particular on safety around schools and in densely built -up residential areas. These objectives are particularly important, since footpath mobility is particularly important for younger and older people who rely on a safe infrastructure. Another aspect of the concept is the creation of attractive lounge areas with seating and green areas that invite you to linger and ensure corresponding quality of stay in public space.

public information and discussion evening

In order to include the citizens of Villach in this process, there will be an information evening in the living space at Postgasse 6 on December 2 at 6 p.m. Here the residents have the opportunity to contribute their ideas, wishes and suggestions for improvement. Admission is free of charge, but to register at www.villach.at/ walk . This event is an important step to ensure active citizen participation in the planning process.

The city wants to create a modern and environmentally friendly infrastructure with the "Master Plan in Villach", which increases not only the security, but also the quality of life of pedestrians in the city. Citizen participation is an essential component in order to incorporate the needs and ideas of Villacher: inside the planning. The city administration hopes to achieve a positive development for the pedestrian infrastructure through this dialogue.
