Carinthia celebrates European merits: European Prize 2024 awarded
On Friday evening, November 22, 2024, an important recognition for European commitment was given in Velden am Wörthersee. The European Prize Europaeus was handed over to three outstanding personalities by Governor Peter Kaiser and the President of the Carinthia Chamber of Commerce, Jürgen Mandl. These three award winners have contributed to the promotion of European thought.
The Austrian EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn, who was honored with the award in the "European Policy-History in the Making" category, was among the excellent. The laudation for Johannes Hahn kept none other than Jean-Claude Juncker, the former President of the European Commission.
