Christmas magic in the Spittal Christmas village: Experience festive highlights!

The Christmas village was ceremoniously opened in the picturesque castle park of the city of Spittal an der Drau. Mayor Gerhard Köfer was proud to initiate this festive event, while the talented singer Buzzi attuned the guests to the upcoming Advent days with atmospheric music.

Until December 24th, visitors can enjoy culinary delights in this enchanting ambience. Starting with freshly prepared berry punch, various mulled wines to regional delicacies such as Frigga and domestic sausage - there is something for every taste. In addition, lovingly designed handicraft stands invite you to find the right Christmas present for your loved ones. Live appearances from different music styles, including the Jazz band Birdland and the EC Gospel Choir Seeboden.

Special attractions in the Christmas village

The Christmas village offers many additional highlights that are particularly interesting for families. A great offer is the sky workshop, which is open from Wednesday to Sunday and enables the children to become creative. On December 10, Martina Kasmanhuber will present the "winter story treasure", while on December 19, a classic nativity play of children from St. Peter will be performed. In addition, the little visitors can attract alpacas from the Hirschberg every Thursday or look forward to a punch theater with a passe -partout on December 21st. On December 22nd, Anna and Elsa from the film “Frozen” visit the Christmas village and every day there is a nostalgic carousel and a train for the little guests. The handicrafts of gingerbread houses that triggered great joy among families was particularly popular.

The Christmas village is a magical place that enchants young and old. Make music, try the treats and enjoy the atmospheres of the festival in the heart of Spittal.

  • Schmankerln & Punsch: daily from 12 noon to 9 p.m. (Friday to Sunday to 10pm)
  • craft & homemade: daily from 12 noon to 7 p.m.
  • pony rides: Friday to Sunday from 12 to 7 p.m.
  • Himmelswerkstatt: Wednesday to Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
