New church development process: Bishop Marketz heads pioneering session!

Klagenfurt, March 20, 2025 - The Diocesan Council of the Catholic Church in Carinthia has now held an important meeting in the Sodalitas Education House in Tainach/Tinje. Under the direction of diocesan bishop Josef Marketz, the delegates discuss important steps as part of the church development process of the Gurk diocese. The new episcopal vicar for synodality and church development, Barbara Velik-Frank, performed for the first time in this function. The diocesan council represents the Catholics of the diocese and, according to his statute, has the task of supporting Bishop Marketz in his office.
