Generation change at the SPÖ Hermagor: Change in the future!

Hermagor, Österreich - In Hermagor, the SPÖ faces significant change. The SPÖ-Hermagor initiates the generation change and is looking for new ways to make the city sustainable. A mix of young, creative minds and experienced politicians is intended to ensure that the social issues, the expansion of infrastructure as well as the strengthening of the association and volunteering are in focus. The city councilor Martina Wiedenig, who always had great pleasure in her role, announced her resignation to create space for changes. In her words of thanks, she emphasized the constructive cooperation in the city and municipal council.

The resignation of Wiedenig follows the withdrawal of the mayor after his defeat in the runoff in March 2021. How , the 26-year-old district party chairman Luca Burgstaller now coordinates the talks with the other local council parties. It was time to "clean up" after a difficult election campaign and to promote political cooperation for the well -being of the population. Burgstaller will soon be planning the first concrete conversation with the ÖVP and also discussions with the FPÖ and the Till list. The SPÖ does not want to promote coalition, but the competition of the best ideas in the municipal council.

The SPÖ is determined to make the upcoming negotiations constructively and objectively. The division of lectures should only be determined at the end of the talks. Burgstaller emphasized the importance of the local political experience of the negotiation team, which in addition to him also includes Vice Mayor Christian Potocnik and Wiedenig. The departure into a new political era could bring significant changes for the political landscape in Hermagor.
