Rosenheim: Dramatic arson uncovered in Feldkirchen-Westerham
In Feldkirchen-Westerham, a major fire occurred in a warehouse on the night of November 25th in a warehouse that kept the fire brigade and rescue workers in suspense for several days. The owner of the company concerned, the Neureither family, is deeply affected by the events and reports on an emotional period. Father Erwin and son Alexander, managing director of "JNS Dachtstechnik", were alerted at the moment of the first alarm and were difficult to understand the seriousness of the situation.
"It is terrifying how quickly something can happen," said Alexander Neureither with regard to the rapid spread of the fire and thanked the fire brigade for their fast and effective use. The measures of the fire brigade successfully prevented a spread to neighboring buildings, which brought a great relief to the family and the residents.
Investigations into arson
The fire brigade had to move out to the warehouse again on Tuesday, November 26th because there had been a rebuild. Robert Weber, the first commander of the Feldolling fire brigade, explained the challenges that occurred in a warehouse. "We had checked the job again at night, only a short time later the alarm reported again," he said. The fire was not as serious as the day before, but the embers who burn together with other materials could make extinguishing work difficult.
The criminal police are now switched on and assumes intentional arson. Stefan Sonntag, spokesman for the Upper Bavaria South Police, confirmed that the second incident was a rebuilt of the existing embers and there was no new fire. Nevertheless, the police are calling witnesses that may have made suspicious observations about the time of the crime on November 25th.
In the first measures, seven residents from their houses were evacuated because their apartments were directly affected by the fire. Fortunately, thanks to the enormous efforts of the fire brigade and other rescue workers, no injuries were reported. The Neureither family is aware of the importance of support from these institutions and would like to expressly thank you.
The property damage amounts to the seven -digit range according to the first estimates. In the coming weeks, the Neureither family is facing the intensive process of replacing the lost materials, and they are faced with the challenge of continuing their ongoing projects in good time.
