Kick Start Messe: Students discover career opportunities in Feldkirchen
The ninth "Kick Start" activity fair took place a few days ago in the city hall of Feldkirchen. This fair is an event that is specially designed for students to offer you an insight into different professional opportunities. It was organized by the vocational and educational orientation of Carinthia (BBOK), an institution that is supported by the Labor Market Service (AMS) Carinthia as well as by the State of Carinthia and the Industrial Association (IV).In the morning, a total of 250 students from the fourth classes from Feldkirchen and the surrounding area visited the fair in their class associations. During the afternoon, interested parents and their children had the opportunity to find out about the versatile training opportunities at the secondary schools in Carinthia.

The fair not only offered the students information, but also practical insights into what awaits them. The participants were able to put on a hand: they worked, soldered, designed, tried it, and thus got an idea of what to expect in the different educational channels. This direct experience is crucial to gain a realistic impression of the professions and the necessary knowledge.
The offer was diverse: students had the opportunity to find out more about schools who conclude with the Matura, technical schools with specific specialist qualifications, as well as one or two years of school forms that prepare for vocational training. In addition, advisory institutions were on site that provided general information about various training and career opportunities.
Some schools invited the students to try their offers directly. Such practical experiences are important to help young people make informed decisions about their professional future. The event thus represented an important event for the professional orientation of young people in the region, which is supported by the BBOK.
