social contexts
Ramona Becker, a spokeswoman for the police, emphasizes that such incidents are increasing in public places and in residential areas. The current figures show that not only simple thefts, but also violent crime increases among young people. This trend is particularly alarming because society has to deal with the causes and consequences of youth crime.
The combination of increasing numbers of criminal acts among young people and the changed social and psychological framework is a challenge. The police are required to take preventive measures and to clarify the public about these developments in order to prevent future acts and to strengthen the feeling of security in the community.
