After almost three years of successful test operation, the Wienmobil Hops in the districts of Liesing and Donaustadt will be further optimized. The offer includes two fully electric, wheelchair -friendly minibuses that are environmentally friendly on weekdays between 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The vehicles serve around 150 virtual stops in the 5.2 km² area between the A23 and the A2, such as Wienerlinien.at . Passengers can conveniently book the hop via the app by specifying their pick -up time and the desired stops. The pilot project is created for at least twelve months and starts on March 18, 2022, with the aim of determining the need for an on-demand offer. If passengers inquire about a trip that is not possible immediately due to capacity bottlenecks, an alternative departure time is proposed. Overall, the high satisfaction with the hopper, which has already been determined in a survey, shows that the offer is well received: an average of 4.9 out of 5 points take over 940 reviews.
