On Friday evening, the Brucknerhaus in Linz celebrated a spectacular event: the gala night of sport. Like Leadersnet reported, flocked around 2,500 guests into the festively decorated halls, including numerous active and former sports sizes as well as representatives from the economy and Politics. The event, organized by the Upper Austrian News and the Liva, took place in the middle of the domestic skiing championship, which was already successful for Austria with three medals in the first individual races. The highlight of the evening was the award ceremony, in which the ÖFB team boss Ralf Rangnick was awarded the coveted “Sports Life Award”. David Alaba, who congratulated Spain via video and praised Rangnick for his influence on the Austrian national football team, provided a special surprise.

a festive evening full of highlights

The Galanacht was not only a meeting point for the stars, but also offered a diverse entertainment program. After an impressive show by the "Freaks" under the direction of O.C. Ono performed the bands Granada and Emma Peal, while DJs created an exuberant atmosphere until the early hours of the morning. Among the prominent guests were visibly enthusiastic about the ski jumper Andreas Goldberger and the footballer Thomas Morgenstern, as Kultur.net reported.

The Brucknerhaus remains a cultural center, because on March 3, 2024, the silent film classic "The Phantom of the Opera" will be listed here, accompanied by the improvised music of the renowned organist Thomas Ospital. This performance promises to kidnap the audience back into the glamorous world of early cinema while experiencing the exciting sounds of historical film. Such events make the Brucknerhaus an indispensable part of cultural life in Linz, which attracts both sports and art lovers.
