Feller fights in slalom: just fourth place, podium just missed!
In the exciting World Cup slalom in Val d’Isère, Manuel Feller was finally able to reach the goal after he had previously failed in four races. The Tyrolean started promising and was in third place at half -time, but had to put back in the second round in difficult conditions and ended up in fourth place, which he had to share with Lucas Pinheiro Braathen. Both athletes only missed the podium by six hundredths of seconds. The victory went to Henrik Kristoffersen, who celebrated his first World Cup victory since January 2023 and left the second-placed Atle Lie McGrath by 0.52 seconds, while the Swiss Loic Meillard ended up in third place (+0.89), like laola1.at
Linus Straßer was also on the demanding slopes face de Bellevarde in a promising position. After the first run, the Munich team was in seventh place, only 0.47 seconds behind Feller. Straßer was optimistic about his performance and the potential for the second round, although he said: "Actually, this slope fits wonderfully for me, but I don't get really warm with him". Final results showed that Adrian Pertl, Johannes Strolz and Michael Matt could also improve their positions in the overall result and reached places 13 to 15. Unfortunately, however, there were failures, including Marco Schwarz and Dominik Raschner, who did not finish, such as ran.de reported.
