FC Hertha Wels celebrates historical promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga!

Rabl emphasized that he expects Wels to stay in the 2nd league for a few years. In order to be prepared for this challenge, some financial hurdles have to be overcome. The Huber-Arena, home of FC Hertha Wels, needs investments between 6 and 8 million euros to become a first division.

The budget of FC Hertha Wels will be increased from 600,000 to 700,000 euros to around 2 million euros for the coming season in the 2nd Bundesliga. Managing Director Peter Huliak described the championship title as the first stage victory and is aiming for further success in the next few years. This development is in a context in which other clubs in the region also have to prepare themselves, such as the events in the third division, where clubs such as Alemannia Aachen and FC Erzgebirge Aue have recently been promoted.
