Thanksgiving Festival 2025: tractors, culinary delights and a high above Vienna!
Heldenplatz, 1010 Wien, Österreich - On June 10, 2025, the preparations for the harvest.dank.festival are in full swing. The festival will take place on the first weekend in September, more precisely on September 6th and 7th, in the heart of Vienna on Heldenplatz. The event, which is organized by the ecosocial forum Austria & Europe and the Landjugend Austria, has the goal of focusing on domestic agriculture and forestry and presenting diversity of Austrian culinary and culture.
The many attractions of the festival include not only combine harvesters and modern tractors, but also an impressive Thanksgiving parade with decorated cars. A highlight is the classic car tractor show, which shows the development of agricultural vehicles over the years. In addition, visitors can look forward to a bouncy castle, a pedaltractor course and the opportunity for cows milking. If you dare, you can also enjoy a gondola trip at a height of 40 meters.

The program is designed in a variety of ways. On Saturday, September 6th, among other things, an agricultural machinery show, folk dance and a beer tapping are on the plan. Live music is performed by local bands such as Krauutschaden, Viera Blech, Alpenlandler musicians and Brassaranka. Sunday, September 7th, begins with a morning pint where the original Woodstock musicians and the emperors perform musicians. Another highlight on Sunday is the classic car tractor show, which is crowned by a final concert with the crown yields.
A peasant market on which regional delicacies are offered, as well as Wiener Heurige with exquisite regional wines and stands that present various specialties from all federal states.

A particularly valuable part of the festival is the educational campus, which will offer visitors an insight into working methods and everyday life in agriculture and forestry. Experts are ready to answer questions and convey exciting information. Stephan Pernkopf, President of the Ecosocial Forum, emphasizes the importance of such events for the mutual understanding between city and country. Josef Taucher, Vice President of the Forum, explains that it is about creating trust and awareness of the regional products.
Over 90,000 members, the Landjugend Austria, the largest youth organization in rural areas, has numerous visitors from all nine federal states. Valentina Gutkas, Federal Land Youth, also emphasizes that the festival is also part of the 70th anniversary of the rural youth.
