Erler fights through a cold: semi -finals are denied!

A heavy setback for Austria's tennis star Alexander Erler! The 27-year-old Tyrolean, currently one of the best double players in the country, had to cancel his participation in the semi-finals of the ATP-500 tournament in Acapulco because of a severe cold. This reports Laola1 . Erler, who most recently impressed at the ATP-2550 tournament in Rio de Janeiro together with his German partner Constantin Frantzen, had bravely fought against the symptoms of his illness. Unfortunately the fever was so high that it was simply no longer physically unable to compete.

Erler had even defeated his ex-partner Lucas Miedler on his way to the semi-finals, who played together with Santiago Gonzalez (Mex). These impressive performance gave hope for more until the health problems overshadowed everything. Now the Americans Christian Harrison and Evan King emerge as happy beneficiaries from this situation, who go into the final without a fight. According to his uncle and manager Markus Erler, it was inevitable for the talented athletes after the cold had been plagued for days, as tirol.orf reported.
