Energy transition specifically: film and discussion for the future of the climate!
On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, the "Energy Wende concrete" e-salon will take place in the Groß-Enzersdorf high school. The event begins at 6:00 p.m. with the film screening "Hainburg 84´ A movement prevails". The e-salon will then be opened at 7:00 p.m., in which successful projects for the energy transition are presented. Entry is free, and all interested parties in the practical implementation of the energy transition in the private sector, the municipalities or for individuals are cordially invited.
Karin Neckamm was won for the moderation. The guests include prominent personalities from the industry, including Barbara Kargl from the Vegetable Energy Association, Robert Moispointer, Vice Mayor and City Councilor for the Environment and Energy, as well as Doris Holler-Bruckner, editor of Oekonews and President of the Federal Association of Sustainable Mobility. Alfred Skaralbella, head of the first environmental sign school in Austria, will also be present.
The context of the energy transition
The event is part of a comprehensive project supported by the federal government, the state and the EU and takes place in the Leader regions of Marchfeld and Römerland Carnuntum. The e-salon promotes exchange and cooperation on the topics of renewable energy and e-mobility. In view of the current political endeavors in Germany, this dialogue is of great importance where you strive to become market leader in electromobility.
climate change demands a rethink in resource use. The traffic sector, especially in the form of flight, ship and automotive traffic, causes high greenhouse gas emissions. Electromobility is increasingly regarded as the key to emission reduction. With an efficiency of 90%, electric vehicles offer clear advantages compared to conventional petrol and diesel models.
The way to energy independence
However, it is crucial for electric vehicles that the electricity used comes from renewable sources. This is the only way to be considered emission -free. The combination of e-mobility and renewable energies plays an important role in the fight against climate change. In addition, electric cars have the potential to stabilize the power grid by absorbing or feeding excess energy. The departure of fossil fuels could reduce the dependence of Germany of oil and promote energy self -sufficient. At the moment, Germany imports over a billion euros in energy every day, but is heavily dependent on oil imports.
Although the exit from nuclear power has been decided, the complete coal phase -out is still missing. Combustion engines continue to play an important role in traffic. However, the Federal Government has already decided a package of measures to strengthen Germany's position in electromobility. The inseparable connection between e-mobility and energy transition requires consistent political support to ensure a successful transition to climate-friendly forms of energy.
