Voltron Nevera: New roller coaster moves visitors to the heart of the European park
In spring, the new roller coaster “Voltron Nevera” started in Europa-Park, one of the most popular amusement parks in Germany, located in the picturesque Rust, South Baden. The attraction has proven to be a real crowd puller and attracts numerous visitors, as park manager Roland Mack reports. So far, almost three million people have been able to drive with “Voltron”, which has given the park, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary in the coming year
The entirety of the number of visitors shows that the Europa-Park is working towards a visitor growth of around five percent. According to Mack, up to seven million guests could be reached this year - a brand that was just over six million visitors last year. Another plus point is the rides that are reopened after a major fire such as the "Alpenexpress Enzian" and the "Tyrolean White Water Railway", which together attracted around 2.7 million passengers.
new attractions and anniversary celebration
In addition to the existing attractions, the park is already planning the next exciting ride for the 2025 season. This will be in the Luxembourg topic, but will not be executed as a roller coaster. Roland Mack emphasizes that the Europa-Park wants to be more than just a travel destination for roller coaster lovers. The focus is on being a family -friendly park that appeals to all age groups and offers various attractions, including hotels and restaurants.
A special highlight will be the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the park, which is to take place in July. For this purpose, a newly designed parade with colorful cars and dancers as well as exciting performances by artists from the European Park are planned. For families there is also the campaign around the animated film “Grand Prix of Europe”, which will be shown in the cinema.
admission prices and winter season
With a view to the future, a price increase of about five percent has been announced for tickets from next season. A standard ticket will then cost at least 64.50 euros, which Mack considers as necessary to bring about price adjustments: "We need adequate prices," he said. While the winter season, which will last until January 12th, the park has set up no less than 3,500 fir trees to create a festive atmosphere. Visitors from adjacent countries such as Switzerland and France appreciate the Christmas flair.
The Mack family runs the Europa-Park and other companies in the group. Mack's sons Michael and Thomas are responsible for the management, and the younger brother Jürgen is also active in business. According to reports, the annual turnover is over 500 million euros, but precise figures are not published. Originally founded in 1975 as a shop window for the products of Mack Rides, the Europa-Park went through impressive development and blossomed into a popular goal for recreational seekers.
