RIP deal fraudsters in Vienna: one million euros in damage revealed!
Parndorf, Österreich - A 36-year-old Italian was arrested in Burgenland in February 2025 after being involved in an attempted theft. He is suspected of being a member of a gang that specializes in so-called RIP deals. This fraud stitch has increased in Vienna and other European cities in frequency in recent years. The suspect arrest took place in a shopping center in Parndorf, where it was caught during theft.
