Stoob 2024: progress in school, infrastructure and the environment

There is a lot of positive things to report in the small community of Stoob. Mayor Bruno Stutzenstein looks back on a year full of achievements and at the same time has big plans for the future. Despite some financial difficulties and increasing costs, the community has made significant progress to improve the quality of life of the residents.

Special attention was paid to the modernization of the local middle school this year. Here the physics hall and rooms for afternoon care were extensively renovated. The elementary school and kindergarten have also benefited from new photovoltaic systems that were funded with the support of the EU. These environmentally friendly solutions are part of a larger design that promotes the use of renewable energies in the community.

In the area of ​​the infrastructure, not only streets near the tower meadow and the settlement houses were renovated, but also the bike path between Stoob and Oberpullendorf has a fresh layer of asphalt. For the coming year, the municipality is planning to repair two bridges and will check the sewer system. The Oberwarter settlement cooperative also built six new row houses and a bungalow that are already in demand.

A new near & fresh market that will soon open its doors will improve the supplementary local supply in Stoob. The business will also act as a post partner from January and thus represent a valuable addition to the recreational and living quality of the citizens.

For the next year, further road renovations and improvement measures in the middle school conference room are already planned. Reserves are formed for the renovation of the bridges, and the fire brigade is also planning to better equip yourself with a new hose lift and new uniforms. Mayor Stutzenstein commented on the challenges that came to the community: "We have rising costs, especially in road construction, and at the same time have to cope with falling earnings shares of the communities. Nevertheless, we look at the future."

The development of the municipality of Stoob shows that great progress can be made even in small places if you pull together together. The strong community and strategic investments are guarantors for a positive further development of the region.
