Health Days Burgenland 2024: Experts inform about pain therapy
From November 2024, the Burgenland health days are all about pain and treatment. At this series of events, doctors deal with the causes of pain and the various treatment options. The first health day took place in the Kulturzentrum Eisenstadt, where the topic of health care close to home was brought into focus.
The State Councilor Leonhard Schnünemen confirmed in his opening speech the crucial role of medical care. "Health is our highest asset and we have to make sure that every access to adequate care has an adequate care," he said. This is particularly important at a time when the population is getting older. Therefore, the Burgenland opted for an offensive strategy in the health sector.
innovations in health care
An outstanding feature in this year's series of events is the focus on the over 70 year olds. Special offers and programs should benefit this age group to increase their quality of life. New hospital buildings, such as the new hospital in Oberwart, should help to improve health care in Burgenland. In particular, the establishment of a new department for oncology, hematology and palliative medicine is considered great progress.
In addition, two additional MRI devices in the Oberpullendorf and Eisenstadt clinics were put into operation, which enable to carry out between 10,000 and 15,000 additional examinations. These innovations are part of a comprehensive strategy to further optimize the medical infrastructure in Burgenland.
This year's speakers are experienced specialists, including Martin Nehrer and Christian Langecker, who will provide information about modern diagnosis and treatment methods. There is great interest in these health days because they offer the citizens valuable insights into the latest developments in the healthcare system.
The other dates of the health days include events in the Güssing City Hall and in the Oberschützen cultural center, as well as in Großwarasdorf, all of which take place. It is expected that these events make an important contribution to the sensitization of the population for health issues.
