In Loipersbach, the Evangelical Church receives a comprehensive renovation of the interior. The work started in summer and they cost around 50,000 euros. This measure is particularly important because the church has been a listed building since this year. One aspect of this renovation is the renewal of the large windows, in which the inside discs were replaced by translucent glass. The aim is to correctly bring the colorful glass windows back into its own.

Pastor Jakob Kruse explained the details of the renovation. "The wall lusters have been renewed and several installations on the gallery are removed to make the round window visible again. The stairs to the gallery are also freed from the woodworm and partly newly manufactured," says Kruse. According to the analysis, around 20 layers of color are noted in the church, which have been applied over the years. Therefore, a comprehensive new rehabilitation campaign will also take place to improve the appearance of the church.

The municipality has submitted funding applications to the Federal Monument Office and the superintendent for this restoration work. Thanks to the monument protection proclamation, the church receives special support for the necessary work. The Federal Monument Office has already promised support, which significantly improves the financial possibilities for the renovation.

The focus on the interior design of the church will also be an important part of the celebrations for the 800th anniversary of the place next year. Since the church plays a central role in the cultural heritage of the community, these improvements are both aesthetically and historically significant.

In the coming year, on the occasion of the anniversary, the exterior renovation of the church will also be targeted. These measures should not only improve the optical state of the Evangelical Church of Loipersbach, but also contribute to the long -term preservation of the historical building.
