KlimaFitter adventure path: Discover water world in the Raab nature park

The newly designed "Climate Mountains Adventure Path" in Mühlgraben offers an exciting discovery tour for all those interested in nature who want to get to know the value of water in nature better. This path runs along the Doiberbach and is part of a larger project in the Raab Nature Park, which aims to emphasize the importance of water in our landscapes.

In Mühlgraben, the topic of water plays a central role. The adventure path offers visitors the opportunity to experience various ecosystems up close, including damp forest grounds and unique sources. Mayor Fabio Halb, who also works as a chairman of the nature park, explained that the path is equipped with a variety of information options in order to present the natural habitat in an appealing way. Visitors can look forward to a total of 48 plates that convey valuable information.

interactive stations and nature conservation

The adventure path is not only educational, but also interactively designed. The highlights include a barefoot path that stimulates the senses, as well as a feel that makes the different textures of nature tangible. Two observation loungers invite visitors to observe the domestic fauna in peace. Renewable energies are also discussed: water and wind turbines as well as a solar system and fuel cells are also part of the project. A weather station complements the offer to collect long -term data about the environment.

The realization of this experience was a joint effort from EU and the country, which invested a total of 40,000 euros in the project. At the official opening, Astrid Eisenkopf, the deputy governor, praised the importance of the path to clearly explain challenges such as water shortages and climate change and to raise awareness.

learning opportunities and excursions

In addition to the attractions of the adventure path, the chance to deal with the water system and its importance for the ecosystem is offered as part of the “Landscapes full of water” in the nature park in Burgenland, the Raab nature park through exclusive workshops, excursions and information brochures. The Doiberbach, which arises at Neuhaus am Klausenbach and flows into the Raab at Doiber, is already an indicator of the water quality of the region, as the species domestic there such as European crayfish and caddis flying larvae.

For visitors and nature lovers, the adventure path not only offers an excellent opportunity to actively experience nature, but also to find out about important environmental issues. In today's world, in which climate change is increasingly moving into public awareness, such formation is of central importance.
