Unforgettable experiences: Pensioners' association Regau explores the Burgenland

The members of the Regau pensioners' association have recently made an exciting three -day trip to Burgenland, which was peppered with numerous cultural and natural experiences. The starting point was the impressive tour of the Esterhazy Castle in Eisenstadt, known for its magnificent architecture and rich history. The trip soon continued to the picturesque region of Podersdorf, right on Lake Neusiedl.

A highlight of the trip was a carriage ride through the long varnish, where the participants could explore the beautiful natural landscape with their 40 salt -containing paints. This region is not only known for its scenic beauty, but also as an important retreat for numerous protected animal species. The carriage ride offered the participants an impressive nature experience that many of them will not forget so quickly.

Another unforgettable part of the excursion was shipping on Lake Neusiedl. The participants not only enjoyed the breathtaking view, but also a social barbecue on board, which gave the atmosphere a special charm. Such experiences contribute to a sustainable memory of the unique nature and the conviviality within the group.

A trip to Burgenland would not be completely without a visit to the Mönchhof open-air village Museum, where the fellow travelers could immerse themselves in the past. There are 36 old houses that offer insights into old craftsmanship, living styles and solid past times. The participants had the opportunity to look at the workshops as well as various old devices and furnishings and to understand how life was many years ago

return trip and impressions

The return journey turned out to be challenging through floods and roadblocks in Lower Austria, which is why it did not go through idyllic Wachau as originally planned. Nevertheless, all fellow travelers agreed: this excursion was a special experience, even if it was too short. Everyone started the return trip with many new impressions.

The great interest and the positive response show how important such excursions are for the community of pensioners in Regau. They not only offer leisure activities, but also a valuable opportunity to discover their own region and beyond. It seems that the trip to Burgenland remains in a positive memory for a long time.
