New customer center in Eisenstadt: Experience your energy future up close!
In Eisenstadt, Burgenland Energie plans to build a modern customer center that will have an experience world for energy independence. The aim of this initiative is to expand personal customer advice alongside the existing online offers. The construction for this innovative project is expected in the coming weeks.
Every year, over 70,000 customers visit the various Burgenland energy customer centers, with over 10,000 inquiries entering into Eisenstadt. Customer satisfaction is the top priority for the company. Despite the challenges caused by the current energy crisis, customer satisfaction of more than 80 percent could be achieved!
focus on personal advice and sustainability
"In times of digitization and increasing crises, it is important for us that people have opportunities to get personal and not just on phone and email," said Stephan Sharma, CEO of Burgenland Energie. The company has set itself ambitious goals: to offer the best customer service in Austria and to achieve a form of energy independence by 2030. The transformation away from the classic energy supplier to an innovative provider of green technologies will be carried out with the new customer center by the end of 2025.
The existing building is modernized and expanded as part of a comprehensive renovation. A photovoltaic system (PV system) is installed on the roof area to ensure the largest possible energy self-sufficiency. In addition, a battery memory is set up, which is specially designed for the electricity requirement in the evening. An air heat pump will be required for winter heat supply and summer cooling. With the help of efficient energy efficiency software, all energy generated is optimally used. The excess energy from the PV system is even integrated into an energy community that makes it possible to use the electricity in other buildings of Burgenland energy.
Customers are also available for bicycles and electric cars, which are placed on the parking area of the customer center. This enables visitors to relax during the charging process in the new flagship store, enjoy a cup of coffee and to find out about the possibilities of energy independence. The CEO is optimistic: "This is a place that not only serves to load vehicles, but also as an information center about sustainable energy solutions."
The planned establishment of the customer center meets the requirements of modern and sustainable energy supply and is expected to meet the demands of many customers in the region.
