Women's questions: Mari Lang in the Dornbirn in the Wirkraum on November 21st

On Thursday, November 21st, the renowned Austrian author and podcasterin Mari Lang will keep a reading from her book "Frauenfrage" in the Wirkraum in Dornbirn. This event is part of the “Orange the World - 16 days against violence”, which is organized internationally in Vorarlberg in cooperation with Caritas Foreign Aid as well as the Rapunzel and Soroptimist bookstore.

The reading aims to educate about social structures that lead to inequalities and violence against women. The organizers plan to inform both the audience and to encourage thinking by addressing relevant topics that shed light on the challenges of women in different areas of life.

content of the book

In her work, Mari Lang addresses the questions that are often asked to women and now turns them to prominent men in Austria. This includes personalities from politics, business and entertainment. Indian and often banal questions such as "How do you manage to reconcile child and career?" or "Are you afraid of aging?" are viewed in a new light. Lang wants to show that women's questions are basically social issues that should be concerned.

In view of the current social discussions,

“women's questions” offers a fresh perspective and encourages you to think about what equality really means and how stereotypical roller images can be dissolved. The reading is likely to be an exciting experience, since long not only reads, but also gives deeper insights into their work.
