Burgenland's fire brigade receives a modern e-college for training
In a significant step towards modernizing the fire engineering, the Burgenland State Fire Brigade Association has purchased a state-of-the-art E-Tinker fire engine (TLF) of the Rosenbauer RT (Revolutionary Technology). This first fully electric emergency vehicle in Burgenland is used for training purposes at the Eisenstadt location. The costs for the vehicle and the associated fully electric turntable ladder amount to over 2.7 million euros, of which 1.6 million euros were provided by the state government. The initiative for switching to emission-free drives is supported by the European Union, as well as by burgenland.at
increasing number of operations and innovative training
In the previous year, the Burgenland fire brigade recorded an increase in operations to 13,795 due to storms, compared to 8.246 in 2023. This dramatic increase shows the need for a well -trained force. State fire brigade commander Franz Kropf emphasized that the number of members continues to increase and contributes to working with schools to acquire young talent. As part of training, which also includes dealing with the new e-college vehicle, over 8,500 participants are to be trained. These developments are also reflected in the record promotion of 9.6 million euros for 2024, regarding the investment in the technology and training of firefighters, such as bvz.at reports. The new e-college vehicle is not only used for training purposes, but also actively used in operations. With technological innovations, including a highly efficient hybrid system and a noise -low operation, the operational readiness and effectiveness of the firefighters are significantly increased. "We bring our fire brigades up to date with the latest art and thus make an active contribution to climate protection," said Governor Hans Peter Doskozil.
