Love is waiting: 54 singles are looking for your luck in season 29!

Österreich - The popular TV show "Liebeng’slichen and marriage matters" starts on July 14, 2025 in its 29 season. In this series, ORF documentarist Nina Horowitz has been accompanying singles from all over Austria since 2020 in her search for great love. The new season comprises a total of ten episodes that are broadcast on ORF 2 on Mondays at 8:15 p.m. The episodes are already available on ORF ON 24 hours before the TV broadcast.

A total of 54 singles, including 27 women and 27 men between the ages of 33 and 81, hope for their love luck this season. The distribution of the participants from the individual federal states shows that Lower Austria with 17 candidates poses the most singles. Vienna follows with 12 and Styria with 8 participants. The remaining federal states are represented with 5 candidates from Upper Austria, Salzburg and Carinthia as well as one single from Burgenland and Tyrol. The final sequence on November 10, 2025 will provide a review of the developments of the candidates and applications for season 30 are already possible.

new: The singles of the opening sequence

The first episode of the new season will present six singles from five different federal states. Inés (50+, from southern Styria) is looking for a man who can handle a "grande dame". Klaus (57, from Lower Austria), an undertaker, wants to show off his romantic side. Roberto (54, from Salzburg) is looking for a spontaneous woman who likes to dance. Gerhild (63, from Salzburg) is open to men and women as long as the chemistry is right. Angela (78, from Vienna) wants a enterprising man, while Thomas (40, from Carinthia) is looking for an intelligent and physically attractive partner.

The spectators can be excited to see which developments the couples will experience in the coming episodes. Around a third of the participants were able to find a new love luck in the 28 seasons of the show so far. A total of 53 couples in the past have given themselves the yes word, including five same-sex couples, and four babies emerged from the show.

Influence of dating and reality shows

The interest in dating and reality shows such as "Liebeng’slichen and marriage matters" is unbroken. Parship data show that the formats also influence the dating life of singles. A survey with over 1,500 singles showed that 31% find exciting insights into the ways of thinking of other singles. But not all spectators find the shows helpful. 28% of the respondents believe that these formats do not help them with dating. In addition, the majority of the singles are ensured that the behavior in the shows in the real world is reflected.

Especially men (50%) is aware that television format can influence their dating life. There is also a different attitude among the respondents: 40% of men would be ready to data someone from a dating show in real life, while only 20% of women are striving for. These insights illustrate how the influence of reality shows can have complex effects on the relationships and attitude to life.

The new episodes of "Liebeng’schichten and marriage matters" again promise interesting insights into the love life of the singles in Austria. Fans of the show can soon look forward to emotional moments and surprising turns.
