In the night of Monday, June 16, 2025, there was a remarkable incident in Ebersdorf, Styria: At around 03:35 a.m. a flash hit the roof of an apartment building, which triggered a fire fire. The Ebersdorf fire brigade was immediately alerted and moved out with 22 people and several vehicles. At the same time, the Sebersdorf volunteer fire brigade was requested for support, which fought with 14 emergency services and various vehicles on site.

The lightning strike led to considerable damage to the roof structure. After completing the measures, the fire brigade members returned to the fire station.
