Behrmann leaves 0: 6, 1: 6 in the round of 16 of the French Open

Thilo Behrmann, the 17-year-old tennis professional from Burgenland, had to surrender today in the round of 16 of the French Open 2025. Behrmann lost in a clearly dominant match against the Romanian Yannick Theodor Alexandrescou. The game ended after only 55 minutes with 0: 6, 1: 6 and was a bitter defeat for the young player, who had previously asserted himself in the tournament against the twelve of Poland Alan Wazny and the American Jack Satterfield.

Alexandrescou, the same age and currently number 10 in the junior ranking, shows an impressive performance in his game and ensured that Behrmann had no chance. He had already lost to the same opponent at the J500 tournament in Offenbach a month ago at the J500 tournament in Offenbach and, despite his previous successes, could not fight the quarter-finals. In the current ITF world rankings, Behrmann occupies 31st place

other tournament activities

Despite the departure in singles, Behrmann remains active in the double competition. Together with his partner Bilozertsev, he is in the second round, which gives him the opportunity to prove himself in the tournament and gain experience.

The French Open, one of the most important tennis tournaments worldwide, offer young talents like Behrmann the platform to demonstrate their skills. After today's defeat, however, he will have to accept the challenge in order to further improve in the future and to achieve new successes.

A look into space: Saturn and his rings

In parallel to the sporting events, there are also astronomical phenomena that fascinate people. Saturn, the sixth planet of the sun, is known for its impressive ring system that has been employed for astronomers for centuries. Galileo Galilei observed Saturn as early as 1610 and found that the rings could change their shape and even disappear, which indicates the change in the inclination of the planet.

The rings themselves are 170,000 miles (273,600 km) wide, but only about 30 feet (10 meters) thick and mainly consist of water ice cream and billions of particles. These structures are influenced by the gravity of the 62 moons of Saturn and are named after the order of their discovery. Especially the Cassini Huygens mission, which started in 2004, provided deeper insights into the interaction between Saturn and its strings.

While on the one hand the young Behrmann is in his fight on the tennis courts in Europe, on the other hand, the Majestic Saturn continues to captivate the views of the researchers and stars.
