The five inmates of the accident vehicle, including the 42-year-old driver and his 43-year-old wife, also suffered injuries. While the driver and the two sons (11 and 12 years old) came away with minor injuries, the wife was seriously injured. A 13-year-old boy in the vehicle also suffered minor injuries.

At the scene of the accident, 52 firefighters, 12 THW forces and various ambulances were deployed, including an emergency doctor. The fire brigade worked together with a specialist advisor to the technical relief organization to assess the statics of the damaged barn roof.

The accident site was characterized by demolished branches, broken bricks and the destroyed trampoline, which illustrates the extent of the damage. The police secured the traces and made pictures until the early hours of the morning. The accident vehicle was brought out of the barn roof with a crane and confiscated. A blood sample was taken from the driver, which was excluded alcohol as the cause of the accident, and his driver's license was also confiscated. The support of emergency pastors was offered to the families concerned.
