19-year-old because of brutal acts of violence in Vienna Therapy Center!

A 19-year-old Slovak was instructed by the Vienna Regional Court to a forensic-therapeutic center after he was convicted of a series of serious crimes. These acts that have been committed in Vienna favorites since October 7, 2014 include a robbery on two young people aged 13 and 14 as well as the attempted theft of the handbag of an 82-year-old woman. The court was followed by a psychiatric report that attested to the incapacity to recharge due to schizophrenia and polytoxicomania.

One of the incidents is the threatening attack of the 19-year-old on the two boys, in which he threatened with the "offspring" to get their sports bag. In another attack, he tried to snatch the handbag of an older lady, but this was prevented by the spontaneous help of a passer -by. A seller in a shop was also threatened when the accused tried to steal sneakers, but luckily took flight and informed the police.

The violent career of the young man was not only revealed in these attacks. He also pressed a young woman with sexual intentions, but luckily let go of her when she was able to tear away successfully. According to the psychiatric expert Peter Hofmann, the man continues to run a significant danger, since he could again commit serious sexual offenses or assault. This assessment finally led to the decision of the court to permanently instruct the 19-year-old in the forensic center in accordance with Section 21 (2) of the Criminal Code.

The court found that the accused has a high risk of committing similar or more serious offenses in the future, which also contains the security situation in Vienna. The decision to accommodate is final and shows the need for forensic therapies in cases where mental illnesses are associated with violent behavior. Dealing with such behavior patterns is essential to ensure both the security of the general public and to offer the necessary treatment.
