155 new apartments in the Donaustadt: handover of the keys celebrated!
In a solemn act, 155 subsidized apartments were handed over to the Danube city today. Representatives of Vienna Holding and district head Nevrivy were present at the event. The apartments are part of the residential project "Life in the Kagran hall", which was realized on Breitenleer Straße 14. The new tenants now have access to two- to four-room apartments with an area of 51 to 88 m² that have balconies, loggias or their own gardens. Particularly noteworthy are the 78 smart apartments that are particularly affordable to improve the living situation in Vienna.
The equipment of the system is environmentally friendly and includes photovoltaic systems, heat pumps and faith greening. The heating and cooling are carried out by modern component activation, which contributes to the energy efficiency of the project. There are also 92 underground parking spaces and 360 bicycle parking spaces, including three business premises that expand the offer in the immediate vicinity. The location near Kagraner Platz promises a good connection to public transport and at the same time offers a green environment.
social concepts and sustainability
A central element of the project is the focus on social sustainability. These include workshops and neighborhood actions that should promote the community spirit and bring the residents together. The Initiative is part of a larger urban strategy for sustainable urban development that combines ecological, social and economic aspects.
In addition to the project "Life in the Kagraner Flur", the projects "Das Noah" and "The Noah+", also work by Arwag with the participation of Vienna Holding, also work on new living opportunities. Around 100 new apartments are to be built here, including 71 free -financed condominiums and 28 funded rental apartments. The apartments in "The Noah" are between 46 and 123 m² and offer numerous amenities such as underfloor heating and outdoor shading. The allocation of the subsidized rental apartments is planned in the summer of 2023.
Wiener Wohnbau-offensive 2024+
Mayor and residential building city councilor Kathrin Gaál also launched the Vienna Wohnbau-Offensive 2024+. This offensive is aimed at the challenges of the housing market, such as population growth, climate protection and high construction costs. The plan currently comprises around 16,100 subsidized apartments in various phases of preparation, planning or construction. In addition, around 6,100 additional subsidized apartments are to be created by property developer competitions at eight locations.
The entire initiative aims to implement around 22,200 social-sustainable and urban-funded apartments in the coming years, with a construction volume of 2.8 billion euros and a funding volume of 1.1 billion euros. Ecological aspects are particularly emphasized in the planned competitions, and climate -relevant solutions and resource -saving approaches are to be taken into account in order to improve the quality of life of the Viennese in the long term.
