Vienna is changing: Greens demand courage for a better future!

Laimgrubengasse 10, 1060 Wien, Österreich - On March 19, 2025, the Viennese Greens presented the first wave of their posters for the upcoming municipal elections as part of their election campaign. Judith Pühringer, the top candidate and party leader, expressed that Vienna's future needed to realize great ideas and projects. "Vienna, just courage!" is the central slogan, which will be visible on over 1,500 poster areas in the city in the coming weeks. These posters address essential challenges and visions for Vienna, from affordable living to climate protection to the support of women and minorities, such as ots.at.

In the political dispute over the elections that take place in 40 days, the question is in the room whether the SPÖ can continue to assert the leadership and which coalition could result. The Greens emphasize that they are the only party that will consistently fight for climate protection and improve living conditions. The four other topics dealt with on the posters include combating hatred, protecting nature and promoting future -oriented urban development for a "Vienna of tomorrow". The urban development policy, which is also in focus wien.gruene.at , emphasizes the need for an active and innovative design of the urban rooms, which should ensure affordable living, green areas and short distances for all citizens.

urban development and quality of life

The Greens, which are committed to long -term and well thought -out urban development, demand that Vienna does not fall into old thinking patterns, but is responsible for future generations. The aim is to create a livable climate in which the quality of life is secured for all Viennese. This also includes upgrading public space through greening and traffic calming and making urban space accessible to everyone. When creating living space, the party attaches importance to speculation in order to reduce the costs of living space in the city and thus make living affordable again.
