Bulls Choco and Curley: Rescue from the Battlefield!

The dramatic closure of a farm in Styria has sealed the fate of two bulls who were fighting for their future. The Kölbl family from Sinabelkirchen decided to give up their business for economic reasons, which put Choco and Curley, two young bulls, in a critical situation. While the family urgently needed financial resources and considered slaughtering the animals, their daughter Eva-Maria Kölbl was heartbroken at the thought of losing her beloved bulls. She desperately searched for alternatives and turned to life centers to offer Choco and Curley a new home, but was unsuccessful until the media became aware of the case.

Intervention from Gut Aiderbichl

In a heroic twist, the animal protection organization Gut Aiderbichl intervened and immediately kept an eye on the situation. Managing director Dieter Ehrengruber was impressed by the Kölbl family's decision to look for alternative solutions for their animals: "We have to support such an extraordinary commitment to animals." Shortly afterwards, Choco and Curley were taken in at Gut Aiderbichl in Kilb, in the Melk district of Lower Austria. A species-appropriate and lifelong home awaits them there, where they can graze on spacious pastures in the open air.

Gut Aiderbichl runs an impressive animal protection community across Europe with a total of 31 farms in six countries and is strongly committed to the welfare of animals. With almost 9,000 animals finding shelter and care in its properties, the organization relies on donations and greatly values the support of its animal lovers. This initiative shows how important it is that animals have hope and a future even in difficult times, as the story of Choco and Curley impressively shows Good Aiderbichl gave the two bulls a new life.
