Technical school Gießhübl: Creative Advent wreaths as a sign of tradition

In the Gießhübl technical school, a solemn act was recently held to hand over two self -designed Advent wreaths. Director Thomas Krenn presented the wreaths to the state councilor Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister, who emphasized the importance of this tradition. "Especially in the run-up to Christmas, it becomes clear that the Advent wreath is inextricably linked to our culture and Christian values," said Teschl-Hofmeister. With their craftsmanship, the pupils showed how important this cultural practice is in today's world, as well as meinbzirk.at reported.

Director Krenn, who has taken over the management of the technical school since July 1, 2024, is an experienced practitioner with a 32-year professional experience at the institution. He emphasizes that the development of school and strengthening networking with local actors have top priority. "The Gießhübl technical school is the engine of the region in the agricultural education sector," says Krenn. This institution, which is located in the heart of the Mostviertel, contributes to increasing the number of pupils and a lively course, which ensures the quality of the training, as noe.gv.at

The tradition of Advent wreath, which is produced by the learners in the practical lesson, not only brings rest and reflection to the often hectic pre -Christmas period, but also conveys important values and manual skill. Krenn further explained that the Advent wreath with its bright candles is a symbol of anticipation for Christmas: "Its history goes back almost 200 years and is shaped by cultural influences and traditions." In addition to agriculture, the varied training at the technical school also includes operating and household management and adult education and thus offers the students valuable perspectives for their professional future.
