Bronnbach shines: New AR model shows the monastery landscape in detail!

A spectacular event in Bronnbach! At the weekend, an impressive landscape model of the monastery complex was handed over at the European Cultural Heritage seal. This model is not only an eye -catcher, but also a gateway to a world full of information! With a cell phone or iPad, visitors can now call up numerous additional information about the fascinating monastery landscape and the significant influence of the Cistercians on the region.

The handover was a big festival for the Bronnbach monastery, in which top -class guests from the region were present. District Administrator Christoph Schauder and his Bamberg colleague Johann Kalb led the delegation, which consisted of fathers, representatives of the State Archives and the Friends of the monastery under the direction of ex-district administrator Georg Denzer. Schauder looked at the moving history of the monastery and the ongoing renovation projects that have to be financed gradually in order not to burden the budget situation. Fortunately, the Main-Tauber-Kreis receives support from a Wertheimer Foundation, which contributes to the renovation of the Saalgarten.

A look into the future of the monastery

Johann Kalb emphasized the importance of the network, which is responsible for the preservation of the heir seal. In 2027 there is a new review and calf is optimistic: "We have already achieved a lot, but that's just the beginning." Kurt Lindner, who heads the monastery tours, emphasized the merits of Georg Denzer, who is considered the "absolute renewer of the Bronnbach monastery". Denzer had acquired the monastery in a historical deal in 1986 and since then Bronnbach has developed into an attraction for Cistercian prospective interested parties. In addition to regular tours, e-bike tours will soon also be offered that make the beauty of the monastery landscape tangible in a new way.

The Bronnbach Monastery, founded in 1151, has a rich history. After the secularization in 1803, we went to the Fürstenhaus Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rochefort and was taken over by the district in 1986. Today the monastery is not only a place of spirituality, but also a science location with the Fraunhofer Institute and a State Archives. Refurbishment work is currently underway, which will further upgrade the historical site.
