But fortunately, as it turned out, the customers were not in any danger! The man, who was obviously drunk and appeared distracted, immediately triggered a massive police operation.
Drastic measures taken
By the time the police arrived, the situation had become dangerously heated. The 54-year-old was instructed to put the knife away, but did not comply with this request. In a decisive move, the multi-purpose operational baton was activated to quickly bring the situation under control. The man was finally arrested and taken to the Hattingen police station.
