in the cold Lake Placid, where the snow invites the athletes to fly, the exciting World Cup competition took place in ski jumping, and the Austrian eagles performed impressive performances. Jan Hörl and Daniel Tschofenig landed in second and third place, but had to give up to the Norwegian jumper Johann Andre Forfang, who celebrated his first win of the season and won the sixth podium of his career overall. According to Laola1 Hörl was only 2.9 points and Tschofenig 4.5 points at the top of the stairs stand. Hörl was enthusiastic after the competition and said: "The jumps were again at a very good level." Tschofenig, now also an integral part of the top positions, was also satisfied with his performance in this demanding competition.

The competition was characterized by tricky wind conditions that threw back some athletes. So Michael Hayböck fell to ninth place from the half -time tour. Manuel Fettner could not qualify for the second round and took 34th place. Stefan's strength disappointed as the 16th after a mixed first jump and spoke of annoying impairments by the jury. Nevertheless, there was a solid overall result for the ÖSV team, since Maximilian Ortner won the sixth and Markus Müller. The conditions were so challenging that even the dominant World Cup leader Halvor Egner Granerud 棣 Chiveňiz Sn.at missed the winning streak. The anticipation for the next competitions is noticeable because the athletes will compete in Romania next week and then in Planica at the World Championships.
