Austria's love hits waves: Cult format conquers South Africa!
Hugo-Portisch-Gasse 1, 1136 Wien, Österreich - The popular Austrian TV format "Liebeng’schichten and marriage matters", which has been captivating million viewers since 1997, celebrates a remarkable international success. As ots.at , the success format is now adapted in South Africa. This new version will initially be produced in Africa and moderated by Anne Hirsch, a talented TV personality with Austrian roots, which has already been awarded the Safta. If the pilot is well received, productions in other South African languages are also being planned, whereby several channels have already expressed interest.
ORF-TV cultural chief Martin Traxl was enthusiastic about the international spread of the format: "Love is a universal strength-but sometimes you have to help her so that she can develop." The format is still broadcast in Austria and, as is known, runs in its 29 season. Applications for the next season are currently possible, and interested parties can register until the premiere in July 2025. The participation process is simple: Applications can be submitted to ORF by email, letter or by phone.
