LASK has found a promising candidate for the coaching position: Joao Sacramento. The 36-year-old could soon take over the club's fortunes after Markus Schopp was released, while Maximilian Ritscher took over as coach on an interim basis. Joao Sacramento has an interesting CV. His career began as a scout at Cardiff City and AS Monaco before becoming assistant coach under Marcelo Bielsa at LOSC Lille. Sacramento was also Jose Mourinho's assistant at Tottenham Hotspur and AS Roma between 2019 and 2021. Most recently hired, he was assistant coach to Christophe Galtier at Paris Saint-Germain and Al-Duhail. The situation is complicated by Bundesliga regulations, which stipulate a 60-day period following a coaching change within which a new head coach with a UEFA Pro license must be named. LASK had complied with this after parting ways with Thomas Sageder, but now has to address the problem that Maximilian Ritscher was present at a press conference, which led to the license not being awarded in the first instance.
