Djuricin before returning to Austria: New club in sight?
Marco Djuricin is without a club again after terminating his contract with Croatian club HNK Rijeka in September. The 32-year-old striker, who played for Austria Vienna last season, is now training with second division club SV Stripfing to stay fit. Sports director Alexander Grünwald spoke in the "NÖN" about the possibility of a commitment and said: "He is training with us, but as of now we can't say anything about it. Of course, a player with his quality is always interesting." In his career, Djuricin has played for Austria Vienna and Red Bull Salzburg, among others, and scored 33 goals in 97 Bundesliga games. He recently struggled with inflammation of the heart muscle, but was able to take part in competitions again.

With Djuricin's departure, Nikola Dovedan, who is currently without a club, could also come into play as a possible replacement at Austria Vienna. Dovedan has played for 1. FC Nürnberg in the German second Bundesliga for the past three years and is being considered for coach Manfred Schmid's team, while Djuricin is forging his new path in Croatia.
