On Friday evening, children were welcomed in the old town hall for their committed use at the star singing campaign. Mayor Ehsan Kangarani thanked the children on behalf of Mayor Petra Broistedt and was happy about the lively atmosphere, which was created by her presence. Dechant Wigbert Schwarze also expressed thanks and proudly about the children's achievements and recalled his own participation in the star singing.
At this reception, groups from all parishes of the dean's office were represented. The star singing campaign is described as the greatest action of children for children and has a long tradition. The girls and boys of the groups of St. Norbert in Friedland spoke the traditional blessing "Christus Mansionem Benedicat". The donation result for 2025 has not yet been determined, but an amount of 36,700 euros was collected in the previous year.
