Kitzingen starts e-car sharing: environmentally friendly and cheap travel!

From now on, Kitzingers no longer have to buy a car themselves in order to be mobile. In collaboration with the energy provider trucks, the city has purchased two electric cars that are available for car sharing. The two VW ID3s can be booked via the “MoQo app”. A three-hour rental, ideal for excursions, costs just 19 euros, plus a basic hourly fee of 2.50 euros and 0.29 cents per kilometer driven. The cars are strategically positioned at the train station and the district center, where charging stations have also been installed to ensure smooth operation, as on radiogong.com reported.

E-car sharing until February 2026

The e-car sharing project will now be tested until February 2026, offering Kitzingen residents an environmentally friendly and flexible mobility alternative. Increasing electromobility, which is tailored to the needs of modern society, is also becoming increasingly important in our region. How lorry-kitzingen.de notes, such initiatives are part of a broader strategy to improve local electric vehicle infrastructure.
