Digital Days 2025: Vienna will become a stronghold of digital humanism!
The preparations for the Digital Days 2025 in Vienna are running at full speed. This important event will take place from October 13th to 16th, 2025 under the motto "The European way in the digital world. Resilient. Innovative. Human." instead of. Compared to last year, the event will be extended by one day, giving the organizers, including the climate and innovation agency UIV Urban Innovation Vienna GmbH, the Vienna Business Agency and the Vienna Science, Research and Technology Fund (WWTF), the opportunity to offer a more extensive program.
In this year's Digital Days Keynotes, panel discussions and workshops with experts from home and abroad are offered. City Councilor Barbara Novak highlights the human focus and digital humanism as central aspects of the event. Free entry is provided, although there is a limit on tickets for exclusive program items. The venues are the Vienna Technical Museum and “das forum”, the climate and innovation forum of the City of Vienna.
Program overview
The event is divided into several thematic days:
- Tag 1 (13. Oktober): GovCamp (Unkonferenz) im „das forum“.
- Tag 2 (14. Oktober): Community Tag mit interaktiven Workshops und Impulstalks im „das forum“.
- Tag 3 (15. Oktober): Haupttag mit einer DigiStreet Ausstellung im Technischen Museum Wien; offizielle Eröffnung und Programm mit Keynotes und Panels.
- Tag 4 (16. Oktober): Schüler*innen Tag im „das forum“ mit Workshops und Vorträgen für Schulklassen.
Another highlight is the Digital Humanism Conference 2025, which has the motto “Shaping our digital future”. This conference aims to bring together experts to discuss the impact of technology from the perspective of human values and democratic principles. The focus is on topics such as artificial intelligence, the power of platforms, their impact on the media and new approaches to social innovation.
The digital transformation in Europe
In the context of these initiatives, the EU strategy for shaping digital change is also gaining in importance.
