SSV Lützenkirchen is planning to rebuild itself: Fight for youth football now!

SSV Lützenkirchen, an important sports club in the region, is faced with the challenge of improving the condition of its sports facilities. With 17 youth teams in play and high demand among the youngest players, the club shows how important football and sport are for the community. Often up to five teams train at the same time on the existing artificial turf pitch, which leads to a lack of space. Because of these spatial constraints, children often have to be sent away.

The club sees itself not only as a sports provider, but also as an important part of Lützenkirchen's social area. In addition to extensive youth work, the SSV also runs three senior teams, an old men's team and an open sports program for people with a migrant or refugee background. The fact that complicates the situation is that the club's clay pitch is in poor condition and has remained unused for ten years.

Personal initiative for renovation

Since public funds are not available for the renovation due to the city's tense financial situation, the club has already contacted the sports park. In a step towards self-initiative, the “SSV Friends” support association was founded in order to take the renovation of the sports field into their own hands. Rainer Folberth was elected chairman of the support association, and it plans to recruit both private individuals and companies as supporters and supporting members.

In addition, events are intended to help finance the urgently needed renovation of sports fields. Those interested can support through membership or donations to the SSV Friends. The SSV Lützenkirchen therefore remains active in its efforts to create the necessary infrastructure for sport and the community in order to continue to meet the needs of the many young athletes in the future.

As part of these developments, further information about the structure and organization of the association can be found here, such as link.springer.com reported.
