After cardiac arrest: Bove celebrates comeback and plans to continue his career!
Italy U21 international Edoardo Bove has taken to Instagram for the first time following his frightening cardiac arrest during a game against Inter Milan. The 22-year-old, who plays for Fiorentina, revealed he was doing well after collapsing at the stadium on December 1 and being placed in an induced coma. He was released from hospital last Friday and visited his teammates before the upcoming Copa Italia game. In his Instagram post, he thanked the fans who gave him a lot of strength and confirmed his determination to continue his career, which was met with enthusiasm among his followers, like oe24.at reported.
Bove’s future in football uncertain
However, it remains questionable whether Bove will be able to continue his career in Italy, as football players with an implanted defibrillator are not allowed to play in Italy. This rule has forced Danish international Christian Eriksen, who was unable to continue playing for Inter Milan after suffering a cardiac arrest during Euro 2020, to move to England, where he now plays for Manchester United, like The mirror reported. For Bove, this could mean he may have to continue his career outside of Italy if he is not granted permission to return.
