New wind in the Tauberfranken Breast Center: Boss with a vision
On August 1, Dr. Annette Gudill took over the management of the Tauberfranken breast center. She follows chief physician Dr. Ulrich Schlembach and brings numerous qualifications in the areas of oncology and gynecological medicine. As part of her new role, she plans to further develop and expand the existing offers in the center. "I am very happy to be able to guide the breast center since August. As part of last year's re-certification audit, the auditor certified our center a strikingly high commitment and a great atmosphere in the team," said Gudill.
Especially in the support of cancer patients, Gudill is planning new initiatives. The Onko-Café was reactivated, which serves cancer patients on the first Tuesday of the month as a retreat. Furthermore, a breast cancer day will take place in the Caritas Hospital on Saturday, October 12th, which offers lectures and workshops for interested parties.
an extended range of treatment
A central concern of Dr. Gudill is the improvement of therapy procedures through new diagnostic options. The introduction of the "BRCA Fast Track" test should ensure that therapy decisions can be made faster. "By initiating and taking blood at our house, we can make relevant therapy decisions earlier in certain situations," she said.
In addition, the pathology in the Caritas hospital ensures that necessary immune tests are created within a week, which enables the rapid creation of therapy concepts. A mamma-MRI has also been available to patients since February 2023, which further optimizes the diagnosis of breast cancer. "Our specialized measures open up new approaches for faster diagnosis and thus for timely therapy," says Gudill.
The other services of the center also includes the complementary medical consultation, which supplements physical treatment with naturopathic applications. "These offers help to strengthen patient's immune system and increase their general well -being," emphasizes the new head of the breast center.
The new leadership of the breast center under Dr. Gudill is a step towards even better patient care in the region. The close cooperation with resident doctors also ensures that patients care for home. "The cooperation with the colleagues in the Main-Tauber district is of great importance for our work," adds Gudill. Details on these developments can be found here www.mainpost.de.
