Film im Wifar: Marko Feingold is reminiscent of the Holocaust

Walleinsteinstraße 68-72, 1200 Wien, Österreich - On December 12, 2024, an important contemporary witness interview with Marko Feingold will be shown in the Vienna Filmarchive of the Labor Movement (WIFAR). The cinematic review, which was recorded in the Salzburg Synagogue during a conversation in 2016, lasts around 150 minutes and addresses the agonizing experiences of the Holocaust survivor. Feingold, who was imprisoned in four concentration camps and lost his entire family during the National Socialist rule, tells of his past and warns as President of the Israelite Culture Salzburg of Salzburg. The performance begins at 3:00 p.m. and admission is free. Because of limited places, the WiFar asks for prior registrations by email.

Marko Feingold's urgent memory

The documentary processing also includes important episodes from fine Gold life during the Nazi era when it not only suffered himself, but also helped others. After the end of the Second World War, fine gold supported Jewish refugees from Eastern Europe who were on their way to Palestine. This support took place between 1945 and 1947 via the Krimmler Tauern, as can be seen from the interview. All of this makes it clear how important remembering is of such terrible chapters of history. The film bears the title "Contemporary witnesses: Marko Feingold" and represents a significant contribution to clarification about the horrors of the Holocaust.

In this last presentation of the year at the WiFar, not only FeinGold's personal history is brought to life, but also recognized his tireless efforts against forgetting and the fight against prejudice and discrimination. In order to learn more about this event, interested parties on the website of the Wifar ( Wifar ) can look forward. This film is not only a document, but also an appeal to everyone to never forget the dark chapters of history, as well as the National Fund ( National Fund ) about fine gold.
