While the fire brigade in Steinbach was busy with the tractor recovery, the district of Steyr-Land was also hit by a devastating storm front. From September 13, 2024, heavy rain led to numerous missions in which 85 fire departments were in constant use with around 1,200 forces. The violent downpours flooded and ensured fallen trees, the streets and rails blocked.
